Webinar on "The Evolution of International Student Recruitment from Past to Present Worldwide" Held at the University of Science and Culture
As part of the pre-events for the Second International Festival of Iran's Educational Attractions, a webinar titled "The Evolution of International Student Recruitment from Past to Present Worldwide" took place on Tuesday, October 30, 2024, at the University of Science and Culture. Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Bijandi, a faculty member in the Department of Educational Sciences at the university, led the session, with participation from faculty members across Iran.
The webinar covered key topics, including international engagement and student recruitment in higher-level policy documents, the historical development of international student admissions in Iran, and the role of religious centers in welcoming international students. Further discussions delved into factors influencing the growth of international student enrollment, international collaboration, student-receiving countries and their expectations, student-sending countries and their needs, classification of international students, and the specific services these students expect.
This event offered valuable insights into the dynamics of global student mobility and Iran's evolving role in attracting students from around the world.
